Q. How many atoms are there in 1 gm of carbon?
A. Zero - There are no free atoms, there are only molecules.

  1. Who writes these answers? Are they nuts?? No. of atoms zero..biggest joke of the year.
    Molecules are themselves made of atoms.
    12 gms of carbon makes 1 mole of carbon so 1 gm makes 1/12 moles. One mole has 6.022 x 10^23 atoms so 1 gm has (1/12) x 6.022 x 10^23 atoms.
